In working in your community to better understand how it impacts the mental health of the residents?
In finding ways to get the community more involved in improving itself?
In working with different populations (children, adults, individuals, groups)

Depending on which of the three areas you are interested in your educational needs will vary. A bachelor’s degree and a masters degree is needed for certain careers in community and counseling. A doctorate will be required for clinical and several jobs in community and counseling.
