FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS |ASSESSMENT DAY IS WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 20

On Assessment Day (Wednesday, Sept. 20th) first-year students are required to take a proficiency assessment to gauge fundamental academic skills.  A similar assessment will be taken your Senior year. The results of the first-year to senior comparison provides Southwestern College with important information about the effects of our academic program. 

The proficiency assessment is computer-based, so you will need to bring your laptop to Mossman 101 at your assigned time.  
The entire assessment should take about 50 minutes including time to log in to the assessment’s web portal.

The assessment will be held at the following times in Mossman 101:

9:00 a.m. Last names that start with A-G

10:00 a.m. Last names that start with H-P

2:00 p.m. Last names that start with Q-Z

4:15 p.m. Reserved for students who have a conflict at their assigned time

If you have a meeting or event to attend in your Academic Division that conflicts with your assigned time, please contact Linda Weippert at linda.weippert@sckans.edu and we will assign you to one of the other times.
