The Algebra Project (www.algebra.org)
The Algebra Project, Inc. is a national, nonprofit organization that uses mathematics as an organizing tool to ensure quality public school education for every child in America. Its founder is Robert P. Moses, author of Radical Equations: Civil Rights from Mississippi to the Algebra Project.
The Young People’s Project (www.typp.org)
YPP uses Math Literacy Work to develop the abilities of elementary through high school students to succeed in school and in life, and in doing so involves them in efforts to eliminate institutional obstacles to their success. The YPP is an outgrowth of The Algebra Project and trains students to help their peers with mathematics.
