Applying for Financial Aid at Southwestern College
A financial aid application consists of a completed FAFSA and any verification or eligibility documents that are required to satisfy federal regulations. Paperwork requirements vary by individual. Students can watch the progress of their financial aid file by visiting their Self Service account and clicking on the Finances > Financial Aid menu.
For best results, complete your financial aid application before classes begin. Plan a minimum of 30 days between the point at which you submit your FAFSA to the release of financial aid funds to your account. Throughout the process, the team at the Office of Financial aid will communicate with you. Monitor your email for instructions and next steps.
