The Southwestern College men’s basketball team recently partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Cowley County and chaperoned a Halloween party at Sally’s Palace in Arkansas City

"Big Brothers Big Sisters is such a worthy organization, I just hope we can continue doing this with them,” says head men’s basketball coach Matt O’Brien.  “And just like last year, Stuart Ballard was a driving force in getting this accomplished.”

Debi Clark, community director for BBBS, says the kids have a great time with the SC basketball players.

“The little brothers and sisters are so excited to have the team be a part of the Halloween party and they really look up to all the players,” Clark says.  “Seeing the team dancing with the youth on the dance floor and hanging out with them playing games is a very inspiring and rewarding experience and we are so pleased to have them there.”

All 17 members of the men’s basketball team and three coaches attended. 

The party was sponsored by Sally’s Palace, the Arkansas City Kiwanis, and the Arkansas City Police Department.
