Southwestern College Professional Studies is offering online certification in the SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) Global Learning System beginning with the fall session on Aug. 17. Southwestern is the only institution in the state of Kansas offering this certification online.

According to Mary (Bulla) Johnson, director of organizational partnerships for SC Professional Studies, human resource professionals earning this certification will be prepared to assume responsibilities beyond U.S. regulations—and possess the capability to develop global and cross-border HR policies.

SC Professional Studies offers this program in partnership with the SHRM. The SHRM Global Learning System is designed to maximize the learner’s experience, education, and skill set to provide the best chance to pass the GPHR exam. HR professionals with at least two years of exempt-level (professional) experience whose responsibilities include developing and implementing global HR strategies, managing HR operations overseas, and international assignment management are encouraged to take the course.
