During the past two days Southwestern College e-mails sent to some addresses off campus may have bounced. This is happening because of an unintentional spam incident originating from the sckans.edu domain. Because of this, the college domain has been blacklisted by a variety of e-mail hosting services—comcast, hotmail, msn, gmail, sbcglobal, att, and others.

If you are expecting a reply from someone at Southwestern and you have not heard from the recipient, you want to follow up with a phone call. A phone directory to faculty and staff is found on this Web site.

We are now in the process of getting these blacklists reversed, but it will take a few days, probably a minimum of 72 hours. Incoming mail is not affected; recipients at the sckans.edu domain will continue to receive your messages.
