SC DECA Team Competes at Tabor College
The Southwestern College DECA organization, managed by Alleigh Allen and Kristen Pettey, had the opportunity to participate in Tabor College’s 2024 DECA Kansas Regionals recently.
DECA Inc., formerly Distributive Education Clubs of America, is a not-for-profit career and technical student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
After a full day of preparation, presentation, networking, and campus exploration, one of SC’s four double teams, Capranzine Hunguana and Malvin Mupondi, earned a second-place International Marketing Award. Other SC students on the team include Hannah Brown, Rylee Fraser, Cameron Jewell, Jomri Paule, Eduardo Gonzalez, and Isaac Swanson.
“This trip was filled with educational and communicative exposure as we familiarize ourselves with the ever-expanding world of business and entrepreneurship,” Allen says.
