Michael Holmes has joined the Southwestern College Professional Studies team as director of academic affairs.

               
Holmes had been business administrator and chief of staff for the city of Harrisburg, Pa., and previously had extensive experience as associate director of academic affairs for the University of Phoenix in Harrisburg. He received two Outstanding Faculty of the Year awards while with Phoenix.

“We are excited to bring Michael on board,” said Deb Stockman, associate vice president for Professional Studies. “His experience with recruiting, training, and mentoring faculty is vast and will certainly help further the goals of Professional Studies.”

Holmes has a bachelor of business administration and a master of psychology from National University, and a master of business administration from the University of Phoenix. He is currently working on a doctor of philosophy in higher education administration.
