Season Tickets Available for SC Concert Band and South Kansas Symphony
The 105th season of instrumental music at Southwestern College features an active schedule and an attractive season ticket offer.
Executive director and conductor Daniel Stevens will lead the South Kansas Symphony and the SC Concert Band on a 10-concert season. The symphony will perform six times while the band performs five times. The symphony will also perform three times in Ponca City, Okla., and once in Arkansas City.
“The Golden Circle” season ticket plan is being offered again. For $500, a Golden Circle couple will receive season tickets to 10 on-campus concerts, preferred parking and seating to all concerts, and a VIP reception or formal dinner accompanying each Winfield concert (with transportation provided by the trolley).
“Our new season has so much to offer,” Stevens says. “We have planned events for the whole family. There is a Halloween concert tailored to youth that includes music from ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘The Phantom of the Opera’; an American tribute to our servicemen and women; a formal affair for our Golden Circle to eat at the Winfield Country Club; and our famous ‘Night on the Red Carpet’ featuring music from movie classics.”
Other ticket options include season tickets (10 concerts for the price of six) for $30 or individual show tickets for $5 each (except for “Romeo & Juliet,” $10).
Free concerts include Kaleidoscope on Oct. 17 and the Family Christmas Concert on Dec. 6 in Winfield and Dec. 8 in Arkansas City.
