Community Music School to Present Flute Trio
The Community Music School at Southwestern College will be presenting a flute trio in recital Tuesday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Messenger Recital Hall. Trio members include RaeLynn Baker, Lisa Turgeon, and Melissa Williamson. There is no admission charge.
Pieces performed will include Frederick Koch’s “Expostulation,” Georg Philipp Telemann’s “Concerto a-Moll,” and Franz Anton Hoffmeister’s “Terzetto.”
Williamson has been directing the trio since the beginning of the semester through the Community Music School.
“We have had a lot of fun learning so many great pieces of trio music, and we are looking forward to the performance,” said Williamson.
The mission of the Community Music School at Southwestern College is to nurture the fine arts community of South Central Kansas and North Central Oklahoma with rich, musical experiences for people of all ages. Its vision is to encourage excellence in the arts by offering a wide array of private lessons, master classes, ensembles, performance opportunities, and more on the campus of Southwestern College.
