The Community Music School (CMS) at Southwestern College is now accepting new students in all instrument and voice areas for their fall semester.

The CMS offers private lessons and group classes to Winfield residents and the surrounding areas. Students can enter at any level into the school. Teachers of the school are Southwestern College professors, community members, and Southwestern College music students.

“Lessons can be set up at the student’s convenience in half-hour or full-hour blocks,” says CMS director Dylan Moore. “Performance opportunities occur throughout the year, including a variety of recital options, mini-concerts at local events, and special appearances at private functions such as fundraising dinners.”

According to Moore, six-week group piano classes for adults, teens, and children will begin on Oct. 7.
