SC Ambassadors Chosen for 2008-09 School Year

The 2008-09 student ambassadors for Southwestern College have been announced.

Returning ambassadors include: Anthony Cook, Oswego; Kate Topham, Peabody; Eva Sanders, Keller, Texas; Carmon Bliss, Jetmore; Elizabeth Higbee, Tonganoxie; Kelsey Reynolds, Norman, Okla.; and Mary Requena, Lenexa. 

New ambassadors include: Brooke Newcomer, WaKeeney; Michelle Vasquez, Juarez, Mexico; Darrell Wilson, Valley Falls; Bryce Johnson, Oswego; Kaydee Johnson, Winfield; and Genaye Domenico, Lyons.

Southwestern College ambassador’s help the college recruit new students by giving campus tours to prospective students, assisting with Explore More Days, and working in the admission office.

“They are good representatives of the college,” says Kristina Harding, admission assistant at Southwestern.  “They are the ones that can really give a student’s perspective to incoming freshman and transfers.”

Southwestern College is a private institution granting undergraduate and graduate degrees and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.  More than 1,900 students attend classes at the main Winfield campus, at five professional studies sites in Kansas and Oklahoma, or online around the world.
