Some people assume that when classes
end in early May, the entire college closes for the summer. Not so.
In fact, many departments are as busy as ever, including your alumni
programs department. In addition to the summertime alumni events
that take place and working on Homecoming details, we tally the numbers
of events, visits, and alumni contacted during the past fiscal year
and try to figure how to do as good a job (or better) for next year.
Making connections is what we are about.
If you have ideas for reunions, alumni travel trips,
or anything involved with SC connections, we want to hear from you!
You can contact me at
800-846-1543, ext. 6334, at slowe@sckans.edu, or at 100 College St.,
Winfield, KS 67156-2499. And don’t forget, the new alumni directory
questionnaire will be arriving at your home in late summer — about
the time school starts.

Moundbuilder
Memories.......
Just a reminder,
if you have a great memory from your college days, write it down. Deadline
for the third edition of Moundbuilder Memories short stories is Aug.
31. This year’s Homecoming focus is on athletics and the new
77 steps, so it would be great to have lots of stories with either
of those as the topic. For more information on the contest, go to the
alumni Web
site, or
contact Susan Lowe at 800-846-1543, ext. 6334, or at slowe@sckans.edu.
