The Collegian Newspaper/Website

The Collegian newspaper provides students interested in journalism, photography, desktop publishing, editing and designing an opportunity to hone their skills with hands-on experience.

Monthly Print Publication - The paper focuses on news stories, features, opinions and photo essays. A staff of student reporters, photojournalists, editors and designers creates this monthly award-winning publication.

Online News Website - The internet-based news source publishes timely news and sports stories, photo slideshows and videos covering events on the Southwestern College campus. A staff of reporters, photojournalists, videographers, editors and designers updates this lively site on a daily basis during the academic year.

The Moundbuilder Yearbook

A tradition on campus is the Moundbuilder yearbook which is created during the academic year and distributed every August. Students combine their writing, editing, design and photography skills to document the year. Staff members with majors as diverse as biology, digital arts, English, history, and psychology combine their creative skills to produce this book each year

 Stacy Sparks is the faculty adviser for the Moundbuilder.

KSWC Jinx Radio

Jinx Radio is the student-run radio station broadcasting a CHR format.  

KSWC RadioThe newly-renovated, state-of-the-art 100-watt FM station serves the campus of Southwestern College and the city of Winfield.  Students work on-the-air and behind the scenes broadcasting music and news.  The station is also the voice of Moundbuilder sports, broadcasting live football and men's and women's basketball games every season.
