Scholars of the College Named at Southwestern

Southwestern College has announced the Scholars of the College for the 2022-2023 academic year:

Joshua Carter Joshua Carter is a senior from Wichita, majoring in business administration and accounting. He is the son of Todd and Cris Carter.

Raen Holding Raen Holding is a senior from Hominy, Okla., majoring in health sciences.  She is the daughter of Christian and Jennifer Holding.

Jasmin Hauska Jasmin Hauska is a senior from Munich, Germany, majoring in biochemistry with a minor in psychology and biology. She is the daughter of Kerstin and Hans Hauska.

These three students have all achieved the highest grade-point average among full-time students who are enrolled in campus-based programs, have earned 85 or more credit hours, and have not previously been named to the honor.  

“Every year we have the remarkable honor of recognizing the Scholars of the College,” says Ross Peterson-Veatch, academic dean of Southwestern College.  “We are proud of this group of Moundbuilders for their commitment to their academic pursuits.  In addition to their achievements in the classroom, these three Scholars of the College are leaders in the true Builder Spirit. It is a great joy to celebrate their accomplishments.”
