Southwestern College to Host Career Expo April 8

Southwestern College will host a Career Expo on Friday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside Stewart Field House.

The event is open to Southwestern College and Cowley College students, area high school students, along with the general public.  There is no admission charge to attend.

According to Lori Carselowey, director of career services at Southwestern College, the event planning began on a smaller scale but has expanded and will hopefully serve both students, community members, and employers.

“The Career Expo was originally created to give students the opportunity to meet with area employers on the Southwestern College campus,” Carselowey says.  “A partnership with Cowley College opened the door to include many more students. The event quickly grew to serve both campuses as well as community members. The Expo will be a great way for employers to meet many potential employees.”
