Henderson and Whitfield Named Homecoming Royalty at SC
Taylor Henderson, Sapulpa, Okla., and Tomunci Whitfield, Dallas, were named Southwestern College Homecoming king and queen on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Henderson is the daughter of Roger and Shelly Henderson and is a senior athletic training major at Southwestern. She is a member of Student Foundation, treasurer of Pre-Health Professionals, president of the Southwestern College Athletic Training Society, and team captain of the women’s basketball team.
Whitfield is the son of Tomika Howard and Tyrone Whitfield and is a senior studying biology with a minor in psychology. Whitfield is a member of Student Foundation, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is a student ambassador, and a dual-sport athlete in football and track.
Other queen candidates included Megan Milch, Rozel; Taylor Needham, Cheney; Emily Jones, Broken Arrow, Okla.; and Karrie McNutt, Winfield
Other king candidates included Tanner Carlson, Belton, Texas; Zach Moya, Fredonia; Brent Vancuren, Conway Springs; and Jacob Moyo, Royce City, Texas.
The Homecoming court was accompanied by the Little Prince and Princess. They were Becket Tyler Groom, son of Luke and Shanna Groom, and Addie Beard, daughter of Drew and Andrea Beard. Both of the children attend the Southwestern College Learning Center, home of Little Builders and Mindbuilders.
