Patrick Lee to Serve on Steering Committee For KSCPA Educators Conference

Patrick Lee, assistant professor of accounting at Southwestern College, has been appointed to serve on the steering committee for the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants (KSCPA) Educators Conference on June 14 at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita.

This conference is part of a Tri-Knowledge CPA Program with three conferences going on at once.  They include a business and industry conference, an accounting and assurance services conference, and an educators conference.

“This conference will allow not just an opportunity for faculty members from the state of Kansas to network and learn from each other, but also allows faculty and industry professionals to network with each other,” Lee says.  “For faculty members, this conference will allow us to understand the current needs and changes in the industry so that we may translate those industry trends into our classroom. In return it helps our faculty at Southwestern College prepare our accounting students when it comes to their career after graduation.”

The KSCPA is affiliated with the American Institute of CPAs and works closely with other state CPA societies.
