Presentation - Blood Forming Stem Cell Transplants

The H. L. Snyder Medical Foundation has arranged for Judith Shizuru, MD, PhD, Associate Professor: Medicine; Blood and Marrow Transplantation at Stanford University, Calif., to present at Southwestern regarding her research on Stem Cell Transplants.

Dr. Shizuru and her group at Stanford work on bone marrow transplantation (BMT) to treat many life-threatening disorders. Her presentation "Blood Forming Stem Cell Transplants: The Most Powerful Form of Cellular Therapy" will be from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9 in Mossman 101.  It is free and open to the public and Southwestern College faculty, staff, and students.   Please encourage students to attend this educational opportunity.
