Homecoming 2012 Artist Feature - Sulinda Fogle
Homecoming 2012 will feature the work of 4 talented Southwestern College artists. Beginning on Thursday, October 11, the President's Gallery in Darbeth Fine Arts Center will feature artwork by three talented Moundbuilders from the class of 1977: Mike Fell, Lynn (Watkins) Felts, and Sulinda (Baker) Fogle. The display will be open from Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon, October 14. Artwork by Jim Borger '82 that integrates still life and the natural world will be exhibited in Pounds Lounge in the Roy L. Smith Student Center throughout the weekend. Sulinda Fogle ' 77
Sulinda (Baker) Fogle taught middle school art in Dodge City, Kansas, for 15 years. While in Dodge City, she studied under western painters Norma Clare and Jack Sorenson. In 1997, she moved to her hometown of Caldwell, Kansas, with her husband, Wil and son, Hank. Sulinda returned to Southwestern College to study for her special education licensure and taught special education in South Haven, Kansas, before retiring in 2011. She enjoys her newfound time with her family and continues working on her art.
