CMS Spring Recital May 2

The Community Music School (CMS) at Southwestern College will present its spring recital on Monday, May 2, at 7 p.m. in Messenger Recital Hall in the Darbeth Fine Arts Center.  The recital is free and open to the public.

The CMS was launched in the spring of 2009 and is presenting its fifth recital.  This recital will showcase several CMS students who have been taking private lessons this semester. The CMS has also offered several master classes this year that have provided more opportunities for these students to expand their musical endeavors.
“We are thrilled to be hosting another great recital this spring, the CMS has grown and so has the talent.  It is going to be a great performance,” says Melissa Williamson, director of the CMS.

The mission of the CMS at Southwestern College is to nurture the fine arts community of South Central Kansas and North Central Oklahoma with rich, musical experiences for people of all ages.
