SC Music Festival Celebration to be June 12
The Southwestern College music department will celebrate the conclusion of their Summer Music Festival with a family and friends day on Saturday, June 12. Family members and friends of the college are invited to take part in several events.
The schedule for the day includes:
• 12:30 p.m. Finger foods and refreshments served on the lawn on the east side of Darbeth Fine Arts Center.
• 1 p.m.—Worship team service in Messenger Auditorium.
• 2 p.m. — Rotating Activities
(Choose three of the following events to participate in and rotate every 20 minutes, five minute passing period starting at 2 p.m., 2:25 p.m., and 2:50 p.m.)
• 9 Lives Improv Comedy Troupe—Library Lawn
• Flute Choir—Darbeth Rehearsal Hall
• String Chamber Music—Richardson Lobby
• Meeting Admissions- Scholarship opportunities—Welcome Center
• Instrumental Petting Zoo—Messenger Recital Hall
• Piano Duets—Darbeth Piano Lab
• Drum Circle—Cole Plaza
• SC Campus Tours—Meet at Welcome Center
• 3:30 p.m. — Concerts begin- Choir and Orchestra- Richardson Auditorium
• 5 p.m. — Banquet and jazz band performance- Roy L. Smith Student Center
All events are open to the public. The cost for dinner at the banquet is $15; there is no charge to attend the jazz concert. Seats for the concert will be first come first serve.
