Five Recitals Scheduled for April
Daniel Stevens, Southwestern College assistant professor of strings music, has five recitals scheduled beginning Monday, April 12.
Rebecca Bearden, violin, Joseph Jett, viola, and “With Strings Attached” String Quartet accompanied by Cynthia Compton and Jett, will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Messenger Auditorium in the Darbeth Fine Arts Center. They will perform music written by Tartini, Weber, Schubert, and Borghi.
Other upcoming recitals include:
Sunday, April 18, 7:30 p.m.— Sarah Jane Boyer, violin, Tiffany Rea, violin, and the Rainy Days String Trio accompanied by Steven Butler. They will perform music from Vivaldi and Fiocco.
Friday, April 23, 6 p.m.— Joanna Woon, piano, Chelsea Fort, viola, and the Clocks Piano Trio accompanied by Woon. They will perform music from Ginastera, Bruch, Mozart, and Schumann.
Monday, April 26, 7:30 p.m.—The Williams String Quartet will perform works by Shostakovich and Beethoven.
Tuesday, April 27, 7:30 p.m.—Tim Miller, violin, accompanied by Cynthia Compton and Joanna Woon, will perform works by Bruch, Ysaye, and Weiniawski.
