Youth Symphony to Perform on Sunday at SC

The Southwestern College Youth Symphony will perform “Time Travel” on Sunday, Feb. 21, at 6 p.m., in the Richardson Performing Arts Center on the campus of Southwestern College.  Tickets are $8 and can be purchased in the Christy Administration Building lobby before the show.

The symphony is under the direction of Jayme Hayes.

“The symphony will take the audience on a trip through time,” Hayes says.  “They will perform pieces throughout the ages as they transform the auditorium into a musical time capsule. The students have been preparing diligently for this concert. They were given a lot of music that requires different styles of playing. There will be several groups featured throughout the evening.”

Hayes also adds the audience is encouraged to stick around following the performance to visit with the young musicians.
