Mrs. Nikki Kirk is a Music Educator in the Arkansas City, KS Public School District where she teaches Kindergarten through 5th grade general music and serves as the Chair of Elementary Music for the school district. Nikki’s passion is sharing the power of music with others by serving her students and the larger community as the Director of the Southwestern Children’s Choir, as Co-Chair of the Arkalalah Marching Festival, and by operating a private music studio for beginning lessons and adapted music lessons for special needs children.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Kirk has directed music, band, choir, piano, and musical theatre in both Kansas and her home state of West Virginia. She is most recently retired as a Director of Music Ministry programs at Winfield First Presbyterian Church and Coffeyville First United Methodist Church after many years of service.
She received her BA in Music Education while studying trumpet and voice at Glenville State University (Glenville, WV). She earned her Master's in Education at Southwestern College (Winfield, KS). Mrs. Kirk has performed at the National Trumpet Competition in Washington, DC and as an instrumentalist and vocalist at educational events in the Eastern and Midwestern regions of the U.S. She is currently active as an adjudicator and clinician and resides in Arkansas City, KS.
