Math Tutor Training

The QLC recruits, trains and supports math tutors. If you are interested in becoming a math tutor, contact the QLC for information.

Prep/Review Workshops

Are your algebra skills rusty?  Need to refresh the Calc I you took earlier before going into Calc II?  The QLC can provide workshops to help students review material from previous courses before they start an algebra or calculus course.

30-Minute Clinics

These are short practice sessions on specific topics, such as fractions, solving equations, factoring, exponents, graphing, or any topic requested by students. The 30-minute clinics can be offered at various times throughout the week. Check with the QLC to schedule your topic.

English 112 Beyond Google

The QLC has contributed 1 hour of instruction on understanding data and graphs to this information literacy course.

Facilitating and Debriefing GamePlay in the College Classroom

The QLC collaborated with Deets Library for this workshop November 10, 2015. The workshop was presented by co-directors of The Center for Games and Learning (ttp://www.mnu.edu/resources/center-for-games-and-learning.html)

Other workshops, clinics, and collaborations can be requested by students, faculty, staff or constituents of Southwestern College. Contact the QLC if you would like us to provide a workshop or clinic for your project, department or special situation.
