Student signing paper at tableFound the scholarships you want to apply for? Consider these pro tips:

  • Apply for scholarships that are relevant to you based on geographic location, qualifications, and hobbies.
  • Read all directions, complete the application in full, and be neat if you must write by hand.
  • Make your application/essay personal.  Discuss your strengths so you only need to make small changes to tailor your response to the scholarship requirements.
  • Apply for various award amounts. While the large payouts sound the best, $500 is $500.
  • Remember most scholarships must be renewed annually.
