Different Ways to Search
There are several options for searching in the Online Catalog.
|Type of Search:||What it Does:|
|Keyword Search||A keyword search in any field looks in all the search fields of the library catalog to find your keyword text.|
|Browse Search||Finds items by title, subject, author, series, etc.
Please note: Browse searches are not limited to our library alone, but will return results from other area libraries.
|Phrase Search||A phrase search looks for matches to multiple words, in the same order you typed them.|
|Exact Search||An exact search looks for your exact text, from beginning to end, whether your search text is multiple words or just one word. An exact search is useful when you know the text precisely; for example, when searching for titles such as It or Jazz.|
|Advanced Search||Finds items on a topic by using variety of search options. Can search multiple fields at once.|
